My Current Daily Skincare Obsession

I am always looking for a great daily face moisturizer which offers a broad spectrum SPF but doesn’t clog your pores.  I have acne prone skin and have to be very diligent with the products I use or I end up having high school flashbacks.  Of course my current age of mid thirties offers the new challenge of skin blotchiness, lack of radiance and those awful things called wrinkles.  While I know I could do some serious work against my wrinkles by just not pouring that second glass of wine; with two kids under five, I don’t see that changing anytime soon, so I hunt for topical creams.

My current favorite is “Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Daily Moisturizer” by ROC.

It offers a SPF of 30 which is really hard to find in the daily moisturizer category.  It also claims to “improve the look of discoloration, sagging, dryness, dull tone and wrinkles.”  After using it for two weeks, I have to say it does everything it says it does and it doesn’t clog pores.  I have had increasingly better skin and no more acne.  In fact, my pores are smaller than ever before. I’m thrilled!!

Give it a try if you are looking to increase the SPF in your daily moisturizer while keeping old age and acne at bay.

I am a mother of two and survivor of a very scary malignant melanoma diagnosis. I was diagnosed in my early thirties. Since that day, I have been working to change my lifestyle and incorporate sun blocking effective products into my daily life to create a new reality of living in the sun... my "sunality." I want to pass along this information to others who are facing the same lifestyle changes and challenges. You can still live a normal life and protect yourself from the deadly effects of the sun.

    • Not at all and I have been wearing it through marathon training, weight training and kick boxing classes. Great question!

  2. This is a great recommendation. I was just advised to switch up my moisturizer but I love my Bobbi Brown repair balm with SPF, for exactly the reasons you mentioned. I look forward to giving it a try, thanks!

  3. Try Image Skincare prevention + daily matte moisturizer oil free broad spectrum spf32. I love it and I also have fair skin prone to small breakouts. There is a tinted version too – but a bit dark for me. Nice Blog! I am your doctor’s mother’s old college roommate who had melanoma removed in 2012. Stage one so OK so far.
