Hanna Andersson UPF Rash Guard For Children

A must have for my family is the long sleeved sun-ready rash guard for kids by Hanna Andersson.  It comes in a variety of great colors and paterns which will easily work with your pre-existing swim gear.  The long sleeve and mock turtle neck design provides full upper body coverage allowing you to skip the drama of sunscreen application and feel at ease that you aren’t coating your child in chemicals every two to three hours.  The tops are UPF 50+ which provides you sun protection from 98% of UVA and UVB rays as long as your child is wearing it.  These are especially nice for an overcast day at the lake, pool or ocean because the sleeves provide some warmth while also blocking the sun rays you forget about on overcast days.

I purchase two every year, but they are durable enough to last a couple seasons as long as your child doesn’t out grow it. My son has never complained of over heating, even with the long sleeves. I also appreciate that the tops don’t have any branding or design on the front of the shirt.  This allows you to mix and match without mandating a coordinating top with shorts.

Remember that a majority of sun damage happens during our childhood and melanoma is hereditary.  Protect your whole family!

Author: sunality

I am a mother of two and survivor of a very scary malignant melanoma diagnosis. I was diagnosed in my early thirties. Since that day, I have been working to change my lifestyle and incorporate sun blocking effective products into my daily life to create a new reality of living in the sun... my "sunality." I want to pass along this information to others who are facing the same lifestyle changes and challenges. You can still live a normal life and protect yourself from the deadly effects of the sun.
